Levers is in beta. This page was written in plain English by the people who build Levers, not by a lawyer. It describes exactly what the product does today. Before Levers charges anyone money, a lawyer should review both this page and the Privacy Policy, and add the operating entity and governing law.
These are the rules for using Levers (levers.build). By creating an account you agree to them. We have kept them short and readable on purpose.
1. What Levers does
You describe an app in plain English, an AI writes the files, and you see it running in a live preview. You connect your own AI provider key, so the intelligence is rented from your provider and the workshop is ours.
2. Beta means beta
Levers is unfinished software. Features will change, screens will move, and things will break. We do not promise any level of uptime or performance, and we may change or remove features without notice. Keep your own copies of anything you care about — use Export on any build to download a ZIP.
3. Your account
Use a real email address, keep your login to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. What happens under your account is your responsibility.
4. Your AI key and what it costs you
You bring your own key from Anthropic, OpenAI, or another compatible provider. That provider bills you directly for what you use, and those charges are between you and them — we never see them and cannot refund them. Set a spend limit with your provider before you start; a long build can use a lot of tokens. We store your key encrypted and use it only to run the requests you ask for.
5. Who owns what
You own what you build. Your prompts, your files, and the code the AI writes for you are yours. We claim no ownership of them and no right to use them beyond what running the service requires: storing them, showing them back to you, sending them to the AI provider you chose, rendering them to check they work, and keeping backups. We do not use them to train AI models.
We own Levers itself — the platform, its code, its design and its name. Nothing here gives you the right to copy it or resell it as your own.
AI-written code can resemble code the model learned from, and we cannot promise that everything it writes is original or free of someone else's rights. Check anything you intend to publish or sell.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use Levers to:
- build or distribute anything illegal, or anything that harms or deceives other people — malware, phishing pages, scams, harassment;
- infringe someone else's copyright, trademark, or privacy;
- handle other people's personal or payment data in an app you have not had reviewed — the AI is not a security auditor;
- attack, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the platform, or work around its limits;
- use anyone else's API key without their permission;
- resell Levers itself, or run it as your own service, during beta.
7. Suspension
We may suspend an account or remove content that breaks these rules, threatens the security of the platform or other users, or that we are legally required to remove. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to get your files out.
8. No warranty
Levers is provided as is, with no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. AI makes mistakes: it can write code that looks right and is wrong. Test anything before you rely on it, and get a professional review before you use it for anything involving money, health, safety, or other people's personal data.
9. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of Levers. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service, which during beta is nothing.
10. Money
Levers is free during beta. If we introduce paid plans we will say so clearly before charging anyone, and these terms will be updated and reviewed by a lawyer first.
11. Ending it
You can stop using Levers whenever you like. To delete your account and everything in it, email support@levers.build — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what gets deleted and when. We may end the beta, or your access to it, with reasonable notice.
12. Changes to these terms
We will update this page and change the date at the top when the rules change. Continuing to use Levers after that means you accept the new version.
